Livio Beshir


Livio Beshir is one of the most versatile young actors of the late few years. Born from American father and Italian mother, he began as a teenager to star in shows like "A Doll's House" by Henrik Ibsen, "The Bald Soprano" by Eugene Ionesco, "A midsummer night’s dream" by William Shakespeare .

His first role in front of the camera was in "Intolerance" of Citto Maselli, presented at the 53rd edition of the Venice Film Festival. In 2000 he took part in the video clip of Jon Bon Jovi "Thank you for loving me" directed by Wayne Isham. After graduating in “Scienze della Comunicazione” he started to work with Rai. In 2006 he acted in "Sotto casa". From 2006 to 2009 he wrote and hosted the tv show"Detto Tra noi" for TV2000, the  channel of the CEI, The Italian Episcopal Conference. In 2010, he splits his time between the set of "Un posto al sole" on Rai Tre and the theatrical tour of "Shoot / Get Treasure / Repeat" by Mark Ravenhill,winner of the Critics Award 2010.

In 2011 he hosted on Rai Due "Social King," the first interactive game show dedicated to the world of the social networks and starred in the film "ACAB" by Stefano Sollima. Since 2010 he has been hosting on Rai Movie specials and live shows from the red carpet for the Venice Film Festival in Venice, Rome's film festival, Cannes and Taormina. In July 2013, during the 28th World Youth Day, he presents the live show on RAI 1 from Rio de Janeiro, “#ImmaginaRio: young people celebrating Pope Francis”. In August 2014 he presented the live show on Rai 5 "The final concert of the Notte della Taranta”.  In 2014 he hosted the program “Cronache Animali" on Rai Due, entirely dedicated to the universe of nature.
